Mountaineering Guide
Tom Egan
(Denali, Alaska)
1/8/2009 4:09 PM
At 20,321 ft, Denali is the crowning jewel of the Alaska Range as well as the tallest peak in North America. A typical expedition takes 3 weeks on snow the entire time. There is no running water so all must be provided by melting snow. This takes about 5 hours per day and involves handling freezing cold metal and filling stoves with white gas. This is very rough on the hands. Rope handling and snow and ice climbing in severe cold compound the problem. As a mountain guide, it is extremely important to take care of myself in the environment – people are counting on me to be at my best. I find the Life Out There product to be invaluable as a proactive approach towards good health; eliminating all the cracking and drying that I see in everybody not using the product. On the opposite end of the spectrum, my wife, after years of living in Hawaii wearing sandals and never being able to get rid of cracking heals, has found complete relief by using this outstanding product. We thank you from the bottom of our feet to the tops of our (formerly) cracked hands.
